Wow, where to begin? God works in so many amazing ways. No matter how far you are off the road leading to HIS plans for you, He always seems to bring you right back to where He wants you. WOW. absolutely everything happens for a reason. i believe that with every bone in my body. ALL of my heart. My dad and i had a talk tonight about putting the right things at the top of my priorities. the reality that im going to AFRICA in 5 days is finally becoming real, along with this is my last year of high school... it really was a slap in the face, even more when we took out the letter from galveston that i wrote about what i learned there on the missions trip and how i was going to change my life around, and then seeing my life hasnt changed. i have been inpatient, selfish, and NOT looking for ways everyday to do something for others before myself. "come break me down with your mercy" i went on pandora.com and the lyrics of the song "you are" by tenth avenue north came up along with the song. ha it may not be a big deal to anyone else, but i know God wanted me to hear that song at that time. music is such an amazing way to praise God for who He is, and how He is always there to bring you back when your path goes a different direction. music is my absolute favorite way of praising Him... After thinking about Africa... wow africa! it just is making me realize how increadibly blessed i am. i have an amazing family, the best friends i could ask for, and a ROOF over my head... im sure that i will learn so many things in africa and im soooo excited to see what God has in store for me.. I just want to encourage anyone who is reading this that there is absolute NO reason in the world that God wouldnt love you. there is nothing you can do to make him love you less. Everlasting life is a GIFT. take it. :]

garage SALE

So here i am. sitting at the garage sale. its quite sad that im on my aunts laptop outside, but i gotta have some sort of entertainment. :] its the last one we are having (thank GOD) we are trying to get rid of as much as possible cause the stuff we dont get rid of we are giving away. SO many people donated for our garage sale. we are having these to raise money for AFRICA. did i mention i now only have 8 DAYS until i get on that first plane in kansas city... WOW. its still not real to me.. like in eight days im going to be going to africa... AFRICA. who does that?! my summer going into senior year... who can say they did that? its just soooo crazy to me. Anyway, im spending my day with my little sister, and two cousins. they are a BIG help. im picking up my other sister haley at camp in a couple hours. and then tonight ill be going to the boys baseball game. first round of districts baby! oh speaking of districts and stuff... we lost our second round to chariton 2-1. they were ranked 4th, so even though we were sad that we lost, we held our heads high. i miss it already though.. welp.. maybe i should get back to my garage sale? LOL :] peace.

Africa

I literally have 12 days until I am going to be on a plane from kansas city, leaving for my journey to South Africa. I'm going to be with two of my best friends and can NOT wait to share this adventure with them. We leave July 24th from kansas city and fly to chicago. from there we have about a 12 hour flight to LONDON. and we have a 8 HOUR layover in london so we get to tour!! (i'm so excited!) we are going to tour in the double deck buses and jump out of them to take pictures places. (phone booths :]) i know that sounds lame but im so totally PUMPED. then from london we are going to south africa on another about 12 hour plane ride. i need to bring some stuff to keep me entertained thats for sure!! its still not really sinking in quite yet. i mean im totally pumped, but the fact that im actually traveling across the WORLD to south africa? wow its just not really settled in yet. It's 100% going to be a life changing experience and i can NOT wait to see what God has in store for not only me, but for the kids and families in south africa.

Okay, I think I'm going to try this blogging thing...

Well hey everyone! My friend had me go look at her blog, and heck, i just decided i am going to make my own page! Oh boy my plans for today... its going to be a long one. I'm going to the fair to help out my friends with their pigs and cows. Did i mention that im pretty sure that pigs are the stupidest animals alive?! We washed them yesterday, today were going to weigh them. Heck IDK. i just pretend to be a farm girl for the fair, but jokes on everyone there.... IM NOT. probably the farthest thing from it. okay thats a lie.. i fool some people. :] I have a softball game tonight against Perry. We should clobber them like we did last time but who knows anymore. Softball is a longggg season and everyone is going crazy right now for some reason. We are kind of falling apart. Anyway. this post was FUN to read huh? ;] ill write again when something interesting pops up in my life!
